  1. Er..yes, I was there today - I think I'm being virtually stalked It's the car. I wouldn't recognise you, but I saw the car parked at the top of Groudle Glen. Also you looking at a Suzuki 4x4 for sale on the prom a few months ago, you'd just got out of that car again.
  2. Probably Amadeus down Groudle Glen Is this like virtual stalking?
  3. I saw Amadeus looking at a Suzuki on Douglas prom one Sunday morning I know Doohadoo That's all

  5. Did anyone join the photography club at St Ninians? I did, the darkroom had a lockable door and an extractor far. It was a far better place to smoke at lunchtime, especially in the winter. All the others would be trying to have a crafty fag in the cold yard and we'd be nice and warm, comfy and safe in the locked darkroom
  6. Ivor Knight, the German teacher at SN and my Form Master while I was there Nice bloke. Years later when I tried golf I'd sometimes find myslef playing with him (ooh er!) and never knew whether to call him Ivor or Sir!
  7. Yeah, I remember them. Poppa Cannel, licensed to dig Who was the bloke who used to count all of the pages in your exercise book when you'd filled it to make sure you hadn't ripped any pages out?
  8. I'm not too sure if we're of the same era (born 1958), but I used to like the woodwork teacher at Balla who I think was the same Benny. Mind you, I always came top in woodwork
  9. I'd definitely go for digital rather than film. You can see the results instantly and can experiment with various settings and not have to pay out a load for film and processing. What type of digital camera to get? What are you wanting to photograph? Do you want an easily pocketable, but fairly basic point and shoot camera? A slightly bigger camera that can still be P&S but has more setting to try, or maybe a DSLR which is more flexible still A few years ago DSLRs were very expensive but you can buy a damn good one now for about 600 quid
  10. I've absolutely no experience of it, but I hope it works for you. Isn't there something on telly soon about hypnotherapy? Paul McKenna perhaps?

  15. Oops, just noticed the "recommend" part of your post The one that most photographers use that I know of is Pbase, which unfortunatley isn't the free one The other alternative is your own website which can be had quite cheaply these days. Someone on Cix recommended http://purple-paw.com/hostprices.htm to me
  16. A google for free photo storage shows the likes of http://www.splashbulb.com/ http://photobucket.com/ http://www.imagestation.com/ etc
  17. I think www.photobox.co.uk / www.icdphotos.com give you 30MB of online storage which increases to 100MB if you order some prints through them www.pbase.com is popular with photographers but costs US$23 yearly for 200 Megabytes of photo storage.
  18. Ouch! Just pointed my news reader at it and it wanted do download 221222 headers. I take it that it's quite a busy group?
