  1. I have deleted them from my bookmarks and never look at their crap, worst local news around.
  2. Exactly, a lot of Corpy staff were hand picked to attend, the ones that could at least iron a shirt etc.
  3. There were more IOM and UK Police than there were supporters.
  4. The geezer will do 4 months of his 8 so he will be out mid July and back to his idiocies. He won’t change, he is an habitual so will no doubt be in the limelight again before the summer is out.
  5. Listening and looking at all the threads of late with regards to the issues with our Chief Minister, MHK’s and MLC’s is it not time we looked at a shorter General Election period from the current five year term to a more sustainable maybe three year period? I just feel of late we the public have very little say mid five year term and if it was shortened we have the ability to get shut of the riff-raff a bit quicker? Debate!
  6. Mrs Poole-Wilson is a very astute lady and probably cleverer than most in there, unfortunately she is very, very politically correct and I am sure this would slow things even more than what we see in Manx Politics today. I can only hope that there is a new and up and coming set of bright candidates on the horizon, that’s the only hope we really have at present, let’s ride this next 2 years and hope for a brighter future!!!
  7. I bet this whole situation has arisen by some new fresh faced civil servant who has found some legislation which could earn our failing government a few bob. He/she will no doubt be praised by the woke civil service managers (and there are lots of them) for coming up with such a great idea. Meanwhile Jo Public are getting shafted yet again. Time for Alf to get tough… Hang on a minute….🤔
  8. And how often do you find loss leaders with other outlets on the Isle of Man? Not many, so bring it on Tesco.
  9. Can’t wait for Tesco to come here! Hovis thick sliced bread yesterday at Tesco £1.39 Hovis thick sliced bread in the robbing Spar shops £2.05 That difference is best in my pocket so Tesco will be a welcome to my family.
  10. Can’t wait for Tesco Mobile to come and get shut of the 2 shafters!
  11. Thanks Gladys The radio reports says this: “A social media post by the Isle of Man Constabulary's Roads Policing Unit which has been described by the Manx force as 'unacceptable' has been referred to the police's professional standards department.” If I am reading this correctly that’s an internal section of the Police, in other words in-house!? (I may be totally wrong). So I wonder if the Police Complaints Commissioner has or should be involved? https://www.gov.im/categories/home-and-neighbourhood/police-complaints-commissioner/ Maybe @Derek Flint could tell us?
  12. I wonder if this error of judgement has been reported to the Isle of Man Police Complaints Commissioner? https://www.gov.im/categories/home-and-neighbourhood/police-complaints-commissioner/
  13. I sort of agree with what you are saying Derek but it’s Constabulary overload, let’s keep it simple and not overload the party of Social Media, this little issue has highlighted that the accounts need streamlining and a stricter corporate approach needs to be adopted, if not these scenarios will rumble on and on and the boys and girls in blue will continue to be challenged in each section they represent.
