Why do the Steam packet rely on fast craft ? I wouldn't mind but its not really that fast ? Modern ferries now are around 30 knots so there is little advantage and the thing is never on full chat. They did it in 90 minutes years ago, but the fuel is the problem, Time to get a "better" boat, they could build one like the superfast ferries but a bit smaller. Its really showing that the monopoly needs to end, a fair market is needed really I know its not done over here due to the local mafia but the general public are going to start to get sick of this

Personally I think the half screen and half scoreboard would be a great way ahead. A big screen could be used for advertising etc to bring in revenue and also it can have loads more options when it comes to making it a little more polished. I think they are doing a good job of the TT now with north one etc helping it get to loads more people. why not make it a little more professional and attractive. Things move on and maybe its time to embrace new technology. Personally I would love to see the grandstand area housing a proper TT museum that could be a great asset and also if it had a café it could be used year round by visitors and locals ?

I think personally he will only get 5 years, personally I would give out the same as murder because in my eyes its killing someone but the law I guess is different. Must be absolutely awful for any family to go through this and my thoughts go out to them. Hopefully he gets a good stretch inside as he is probably the type who blames everyone else for his problems

The light I seen was going toward the horizon and then back then it would move side to side, when I first seen it I thought it was an aircraft but the way it was moving it couldn't of been. The light was a very white light. The pony got well fed that night with a good helping of nuts Mojo we all have a little bit of Sidney in all of us, if you haven't then your castrated ? lol

Well I remember seeing something in the sky years ago when out courting a young woman, we were down smeale beach in the car and I was attempting to feed the pony amongst other things but whilst looking out the windscreen we seen a light crisscross the sky in such a way and speed that I could only say was something not man made. The speed was unreal and so the directions that it was able to change within a few seconds.

I have always said the island should have a state run ferry service, i for one see that as the most stable way. Why there isnt 2 linkspans is beyond me. Lets see how this runs lol, and we are getting into the worst time for ferry passenger figures.

I am not knocking it but what i am saying is that you have got quite a few parcels of land in douglas that are just lying there doing nothing. What about the prison at victoria road? The old bus station site is still a car park. The first thing people see when they come off the boat is car parks. I think the manx people are right to be sceptical don't you, the only thing these projects are doing is creating spin. The government need to just get on with it something is better than nothing. p.s i do like the "wave" idea but a lot of glass there that will have stones and sea weed thrown at it when we get the winter storms, i hope it is ballistic glass.

i think that you will find that all Capital Government work goes out to competitive tender. be carefull with your comments! Well what i mean is they have i think 3 projects in the pipe line but nothing seems to be coming from it. So will this be another shelved project to take the heat of the goverment?

What is it with the sefton group, they seem to be awarded quite a lot of government projects at the moment. They also are building down the new airport extenstion. I wonder who has fingers in that pie?

I think steven is right in everything he is saying. Its a fact the isle of man is full of alco's I talked to a doctor ages ago about the islands drink problem and he said its the biggest problem they tend to see. Also like every addict the only thing they think of is the addiction, everything else is forgotten about. Lock them up and dry them out, feeling sorry for them is only a cop out they started drinking nobody forced them to live like it. Like everything these days they need a nursemaid to wipe there @rses.
