They may have arrested/detained people, as per the report I posted before, whether the police or authorities decide to let the public know is another matter. Also they could be released on police bail, and inquiries/investigation could take months or possibly years? Then if there are any charges brought, legal proceedings could be drawn out?

The new Victoria Road campus was supposed to house over 100 staff, living, working, eating and sleeping on the premises. I doubt that complex will get completed? I don’t think the builders will be happy?

The only thing I can think off is possibly intelligence provided to the police. We are told of criminal investigation of allegations. I’m sure people could list at least two or three possible reasons of offences. Needless to say, it’s serious. I would assume that other agencies may have been involved, and possible input from other jurisdictions?

At present with the income tax rise, proceeds are supposedly ring fenced for Manx Care. I can see taxes rise, both income tax and other taxes or charges. Only time will tell whether Manx Care can do a good job with the extra money, or whether the begging bowl comes out with another request for funds?

Could the ‘raid’ have been carried out early in the morning, entering the building from the rear, as low key as possible so as not to raise suspicion?

Whatever way you dress it up ……….. it’s a tax rise. Personally I think it will probably rise again, or another levy will be introduced as Allinson will look for excuses as not to increase taxes ……… and the proceeds will be ring fenced to non health related areas - like DoI etc.

Isle of Man licensed King Gaming has had its license suspended by the region’s local Gambling Supervision Commission.
