  1. Watched The Curious Case of Benjamen Button -- wasn't too impressed -- thought it was a cross between Forest Gump and Titanic. I usually love Cate Blanchett but she was awful. Its worth a watch on dvd in my opinion but I wouldn't rush out. Also saw Don't Mess with the Zohan with Adam Sandler. Again, love Adam Sandler and it was funny for about 20 minutes in the middle and the rest was craptastic. Zack and Miri Make a Porno --- worth a watch - quite funny
  2. Burn After Reading ---- quite good Pineapple Express ---- cute but not quite as good as I was hoping
  3. Incredibly haunting, isn't it. So superbly acted it almost seemed real.
  4. Stardust --- really liked it. If you liked 'The Princess Bride' you will love this --- lots of cameos, a bit cheesy, but visually beautiful and better than I expected.
  5. 'Twas a pleasure, Lonan3! I'm glad your appointment hadn't arrived and we had time to chat --- hopefully next time for longer
  6. Watched 'Into the Wild' last night. Wow. Its a long one and might not be everyone's cup of tea, but if you've ever thought about just traveling the world and living off the earth its a very poignant movie and a true story.
  7. Totally seconded! We came across this about 7 months ago on Divx ---- I usually hate these kind of movies but I was pleasantly surprised.
  8. Watched 'Dead Mens Shoes' last night. Wow Words can't even describe ----- one of the best and most disturbing/darkest movies I've ever seen. Definitely not for the faint of heart. But I truthfully can't remember the last time I was so riveted by a movie. Anyone else seen?
  9. Finally got around to seeing 'Bottle Rocket' and wasn't disappointed. Any Owen Wilson fans out there? Anyone like Wes Anderson's 'Rushmore'? Its written by Wes and Owen and directorial debut for Wes. Give it a go
  10. Gene Simmons ain't got nothing compared to this! (no nudity, but i wouldn't play with your boss around) clicky
  11. Disco Pigs I want two hours of my life back
  12. I'm sure this must have been mentioned before but just saw 'Kung Fu Hustle' over Christmas and I was blown away! What a fantastic movie. And this is coming from someone who's not a fan of kung fu (had it rammed down my throat for several years whilst dating a kung fu fanatic, thus basically ruining any enjoyment I might ever again get out of any martial arts movie) Hilarious, great fight scenes and rather touching --- a big surprise
  13. Is Europe a country? and other magical insights from someone that makes me want to claim that i'm actually Canadian clicky
