Oh goodness yes, if it is dimmable, I hope they consider turning them way down and get a couple of interesting lamps. Some art on the wall would also go a long way. I think a few aesthetic additions, which could be done on the cheap, would make all the difference and help to attract the clientele I think they are hoping for.

Could I offer a constructive observation from having walked past Hops tonight? I would love to go but really don't ever think I would and that is strictly down to the lighting. It's so bright in there and all overhead. Something like this would be perfect to have low lighting, lamps, make it look inviting and relaxing. I know it might sound silly, but I also know a lot of people like myself, bright, overhead lighting in general does not equal relaxing environment.

Not sure where you're getting your info, but Americans don't describe minced beef in any form hamburger - they call beef patties hamburgers and minced beef is called ground beef.

I agree with you, but in order to gain tax money and regulate, they will have to be legalised.....decriminalisation is not enough and doesn't cover harm reduction as supply is still in the hands of the criminals and therefore likely not pure, more cause for harm, etc.

I'm in my late 40's and I received the survey.......the wording and structure of the survey is messy, at best. The first glaringly confusing aspect was at the very beginnig, with a set of questions you were to grade from 1 to 10...... wait for it....... 10 being the least and 1 being the most...... I kid you not. There are more awful examples of wording, similar to what 2bees has pointed out, however I was glad to see quite a few sections where one could put forth their hopes for decriminalisation or legalisation without making yourself sound like you are wishing for the world to end at the same time. Another big confusion about this was the fact that there was no unique code to enter to take the survey.....meaning all you need is the web address to complete the survey.

The only reasons the numbers aren't as high as the other week's 200+ daily numbers is that that people are not bothering with 111 and PCR tests anymore so the daily number we are getting is not accurate by quite a lot. I know of so many people who are just using lateral flow tests, isolating and then cracking on once the 10 days and negative lateral flow tests are out of the way.....it appears (from my personal anecdotal evidence plus everyone I am speaking to) the bulk of people are doing this. In no way has this peaked yet and unfortunately, due to the way they have made getting a PCR test such a faff, we are not going to have accurrate numbers to be able accurrate assessments.
