Iceland, the only country with the cojones to stand up to the bankers and now their economy is recovering. Although once the NATO boys have a spare half hour I'm sure we'll find out Iceland is harbouring tewwowists and Reykjavik will quickly resemble Tripoli.

 

Its also a country that reneged on its debts and refused to compensate the UK government for the billions it spent bailing its UK branches out. It also paid fuck all to us despite allegedly signing a piece of paper called a parental guarantee. Despite the time its taking, IOMG is one of the few honourable parties in all of this mess. The Island couldn't afford to bail KSFIOM out but through the liquidation process the depositors are going to get a better return than the 40% now being stolen from Cypriot accounts. We were maybe just ahead of the curve and KSFIOM went bust when there was still a belief that there was cash in the system and that governments were not crooks and thieves who would rather steal money off depositors than bail them out themselves. Maybe we should have done a Cypriot style cash for equity swap where 40% of your 'safe' cash savings were swapped for almost worthless shares in dead or zombie banks in order to 'preserve' your cash.

 

The Icelandic government are a bunch of freeloading c**ts who failed to honour any of its international debts. The first in the current generation of democratically elected freeloading c**ts who can't see a distinction between public and private funds when the public sector runs out of money.
