Tee Posted July 14, 2004 Posted July 14, 2004 are flowers so fecking expensive? Think next time I need to send some will have to grow me own
zephyr Posted July 14, 2004 Posted July 14, 2004 A perfect idea for ya. Go to the cemetry just after a funeral there's all the flowers you could wish for just lying around.
Speckled Frost Posted July 14, 2004 Posted July 14, 2004 Alternatively, just don't do anything you need to apologise for again!
Tee Posted July 14, 2004 Author Posted July 14, 2004 What makes ya think it was for an appology? it was btw
crumlin Posted July 14, 2004 Posted July 14, 2004 A perfect idea for ya. Go to the cemetry just after a funeral there's all the flowers you could wish for just lying around. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You must be one fecking prick, flowers are at a funeral as a mark of respect not for some tight assed lout to swipe.
zephyr Posted July 14, 2004 Posted July 14, 2004 And for those who have had a sense of humour bypass I must say that my post was said in jest!
crumlin Posted July 14, 2004 Posted July 14, 2004 THANK YOU. But remarks like that dont help when it was your little boys grave that got wrecked by SCUM.
zephyr Posted July 14, 2004 Posted July 14, 2004 Sorry if I caused you pain crumlin. No I don't advocate taking flowers from graves or desecration of any sort My apologies again if my comments caused you pain
Observer Posted July 14, 2004 Posted July 14, 2004 Anyway people, back to thread yes? Zephyr was only making an uninformed joke and wasn't to know that it would strike such a chord. I happen to think flowers are quite expensive yes. I never ever buy them on Valentine's day, Mother's day etc, just out of principle now as the price can virtually double. I love flowers though, both visually and also the scent when you walk in a room - it's really uplifting. My favourites are lillies and those sweet smelling freesias in as good as any colour...... Oh by the way my address is....... Heh!
crumlin Posted July 14, 2004 Posted July 14, 2004 I sorry to, jumped the gun a bit. If you are wanting flowers, try the Douglas allotments society, they are very good and can give you a good selection for a small donation
Tee Posted July 14, 2004 Author Posted July 14, 2004 Had to be a bit choosey on what to get only certain types liked. freesias were one that was listed tho but couldn't find them so had to settle for just a doz roses instead. oh and huge box of chocs. (prob wont get any of them tho)
crumlin Posted July 14, 2004 Posted July 14, 2004 Someone put me on to a chap that has an allotment up by the school, he wins loads at all the shows and his flowers are first class
zephyr Posted July 14, 2004 Posted July 14, 2004 The best flower of all is the honeysuckle, maybe it isn't for sale but the fragrance is amazing. I had a mate who had never really gone out into the countryside, I took him on a walk and introduced him to this flower as well as others, honeysuckle was his fave. Mind you I love the butterscotchy type smell of gorse as well (not romantic a bunch of gorse but that's what I like nature in her own splender not tampered with)
Speckled Frost Posted July 14, 2004 Posted July 14, 2004 That's fantastic! I'm going to send a clump of gorse next time. Couldn't be criticised for a lack of originality!
