Mission
I've not seen it for a while but there was a gold Metro driven by an old lady ("I'm 83 you know") that was a weekly sight at least in Ramsey. If I spot it any time soon (or speak to the owner) I'll try and find out if it could be for sale. Could have been my mother, a Metro 1000 City. Might well have been, she was a nice old girl, whoever she was - always a pleasure to serve her (I wish they were all like that) When it was first built the 150 bhp Montego Turbo could match a Ferrari 328 to 60 from a standing start http://www.mgownersclub.co.uk/mg-guides/saloons/mg-montego-turbo I quite liked that, our insurance broker had one at the time and it was always parked outside or near to our place of work. The MG Maestro Turbo was rapid as well.
Annoymouse
Not the year you're after but saw this 1989 one advertised, its at least an Austin one not a Rover : http://manx.net/classifieds/Motors/advert/719510/1-3-metro Edit : its also 5 door not 3 door but may be useful for parts if nothing else.
