Mr Bear
Getting useful chemicals like solvents and surfactants is a chore too. My supplier who happily shipped within the UK for a small charge came back to me with a quote of £100 for hazmat shipping to the Isle of Man for a 1 litre bottle of Sodium Laureth Sulphate (£6.50 a litre). It's the primary ingredient in shampoo after water. But apparently in its concentrated (27%) form it has to be shipped as a hazardous material.
