Neil Down
I've already been warned off about one place in Balthane. Has Yachthaven been taken over? I'd heard that the owner Eddie had retired.

x-in-man
Well, I wouldn't touch yachthaven again. Neither would anyone I know.
Six appeal
What's the engine Neil, and what's the problems with it? Have you got it off the boat?

Which pretty much means none are to be relied on. I have been given a contact so will pursue that line.

Not been "full time" for some time now, but help a couple of mates out with their outboards regularly. They're really easy to look after. Its all about chasing salt away mainly. Keeping bolts regularly removed cleaned and greased so that they come out without snapping when you need them to. Change the water impeller routinely, clean and flush waterways, paying special attention to in and around the thermostat (if fitted), and keep the lower leg oil changed too. New plugs, and carbs flushed through as well. Stale fuel is a constant nightmare, you'd be surprised just how quickly modern fuel varnishes up.
