  1. Would the draft of a cruise liner be enough to enable it to dock on the queens pier in Ramsey, when it is finnished ?
  2. Just out of interest, Has Jurby Junk now closed, or is it on its second / third / 4th/ closing down sale ?
  3. That could well be down to the expansion of our medical tourism / medical residents so to speak, they come here because they can get an hospital / dental appointment within a day ?
  4. After Brexit ( if it ever happens ) how many of the finacial sector compaines will move off island ?, and we need to look at other options, and this option of a "cruise terminal" may well save our bacon.
  5. We need to employ highly paid consultants, to advise us ( the general public / buisnesess on the prom ) of the implications of the DOI schemes that are currently in the pipeline / or are curretly on-going.
  6. Not if we where to use prisoners from the Jurby Hilton, that would reduce the cost of labour, and time, conciderably, ( government savings ) !!
  7. But surley they would have consulted all of the business`s that would be effected first, and outlined the timeline of the job, and compensation to any of those business`s effected ?
  8. So is this going to add to the 3 / 5 / 8 / 10 year contract to re-develop the prom ?

  10. KWC needs a lot spending on it, if you walk round the place, the outside is falling apart.
  11. Apart from the "loose chippings" sign, the problem seems to have gone away / ( been forgotten about )/ has now been sorted.
  12. I can never make out if she is saying " owns" or "owned" the granite center in the ad, it sounds like owned to me, which is in the "past tence"
  13. In the interests of raising much needed funds for the Airport perhaps Jacksons could sponsor the little car ride that is slap bang in front of the Utmost branding.
  14. But what about a fence at Andreas, or Jurby, surley we need one there as well ?
  15. Went up there yesterday and a BMW over took me, and sent a stone into my windscreen ( it didn`t crack ) , so is the speed limit going back to 30, 40, or are they going to resurface it any time soon ?
  16. But don`t they charge £120 per hour for servicing ?
  17. Thats a bit like my printer, it died, so a google search revealed that the printer was programed to print a certain number of copies before throwing up errors, and someone had built software to overcome this, which i downloaded to the printer, and it still works fine to this day.
  18. I heard once from a freind who had a volvo, who had the wing mirror knocked off, bought an after market part, but having replaced it himself, found that it had to be coded into the car, otherwise the eledctric mirror and the mirror heater didn`t work.
  19. If you bought a new car from say jacksons, would you be commited to servicing with them as well, or could you take it elsewhere without it effecting your manufactures warranty ?
  20. Surely the new RADAR is now the old RADAR, and will need to be replaced soon, along with the old fence ?
  21. I think there are now signs up stating a starting date.
