  1. Same question can be asked for the the united kingdom? Is the US President Menatally capable for the task in hand? His train of though seems to desert him with alarming frequency.
  2. Bit late to suggest purely memorial use for the site, is it not? Bit like building some new offices on the site of the 911 Terrorist Attack, them going bust, buildings lie derelict, eventually demolished. Then decide it would be disrespectful to build anything else there, and that it should be a memorial.
  3. Have you REALLY been asleep for 40 years? Why what's your wonderful idea - oh that's right you don't have one. Lots of space, easy to get to, bus and rail connections to the capital. Port Soderick is ideal for such a development.
  4. Why doesn't Government rejuvenate Port Soderick and build leisure facilities there? You could have a Blackpool style 'Pleasure Beach' thing. I'm sure it would attract the Tourists.
  5. Well, yes, the one in Port Erin is miles away. It's not like you could get there by train or anything. That's a Steam Railway Museum. At present there is nothing for the M.E.R, the S.M.R and very little in the memory of the M.N.R. Another lost system poorly represented is the Douglas Head Marine Drive Tramway. At least a Cable Car survives at Jurby.
  6. It'd be a great site for a National Railway Museum, to allow some of the long term stored artifacts of the Islands glorious railway history to be displayed and publically accessible for the first time in many years.
