Another misleading headline which caused outrage and counter outrage on FB, apparently it is regarding children bringing Birthday cakes to school as it has become a common practice. With the allergy concern it makes sense , really it isn’t a teachers job to be cutting up or dispensing cake of unknown origin or ingredients and if anyone did unfortunately suffer as a consequence it could prove tricky with the blame culture that exists today. It has nothing to do with lunch boxes etc. Rob did explain that he had commented without reading the content of the article in full. Hmmmn seriously 🤨

My two friends from NI have loved it booked for TT and are definitely coming back for MGP next year. So opinions vary and you cannot please everyone.

Over the years I have bought sweaters, not TT, from the shop on Queens Promenade and you cannot wear them out the quality has always been first class and wash after wash they come up like new. Fantastic value.

There has been a lot of comments on FB regarding the quality of the merchandise especially as it was expensive compared to previous years, apparently some stock was not dated so could be put out for sale next year but if the quality isn’t there there will be a few burnt fingers.

We tried to book a table at quite a few of our favourite places in Douglas last week and they were all doing walk ins only. There seemed to be lots of people about and all the eateries seemed very busy.

Is there not some action there over the TT period ? If it is being left undeveloped because of this it is scandalous, as suggested above sheltered housing or even apartments for singles too young to be eligible for sheltered, there are lots of 30,40 and 50 year olds who would be glad of a roof over their heads without paying the crazy rents that some landlords are asking. As mortgage rates and community rates go up landlords who are second home buyers are increasing rents accordingly and people on a minimum wage have no chance. They could be for sale or rent but in government ownership if any developers get their hands on them thy will be asking rents that are out of people’s reach.

The menu looks really reasonable and plenty of choice.
