  1. Got to love the Mexican President...stick to it that man. Show the Tangerine Tyrant you're not a push over.
  2. So it turns out after all the uproar from the right, Trump and a sizeable portion of his staffers are using private email servers and unsecured mobile devices... How did the chant go when Trump was running for office... "Lock her up...lock her up!!!" "I will release my tax returns...when she shows us the emails!!!" And an article I read this morning (can't remember where, will see if I can find it again) said that almost half of Trump supporters interviewed didn't care that he is doing the exact same thing he was attacking Clinton for.
  3. He's being released on May 17th, unless something blocks that. Good. Without whistleblowers how will we know the murky and underhanded (and potentially illegal) things our governments are doing in our name?
  4. As would anyone and that's the problem with it. If someone is holding a chain saw to your balls you will tell them anything they want to hear, so how reliable is the information? That would be my problem with it. No qualms with torturing a terrorist per se, but no point if you're going to get nonsense instead of reliable intelligence. It's probably easier just to execute them. Does that make us just as bad as the "bad guys" cutting peoples heads off?
  5. Quite the opposite. Usually the advocates of such techniques have no comprehension of what actually happens during waterboarding. I am willing to bet that if Wooley is given a session of waterboarding he would be confessing to any crime you can think of just to make it stop.
  6. His argument to justify it was along the lines of "they're cutting peoples' heads off, we need to fight fire with fire", suggesting that he sees torture as a deterrent, or punishment. Scary stuff. I can understand (though not necessarily agree with) the argument to use it as a last resort in extreme circumstances, but he didn't even bring that into it. And as usual the interviewer just let it go. When the former head of the CIA publically says that it doesn't work, and the majority of the time they were given useless or even detrimental information as a result of "enhanced interrogation" says all you need to know about waterboarding... How about we set you up for a session of waterboarding and see how hysterical you get afterwards...
  7. Illegal international blacksites and waterboarding back on the table... Sigh...
  8. I am sure the tax payers are going to love their wall...except the bits where there isn't a wall or its a fence...and comes in at closer to $12 billion than $6 billion...and has zero effect on illegal immigration.
  9. Debts of nearly a billion dollars? Yeah, who wouldn't want that? What do you mean? He has a NET worth of at least several billion dollars, by even the most sceptical commentators. I'd take debts of nearly a billion dollars if I had multi billions more in assets. Wouldn't you? http://www.foxbusiness.com/features/2016/11/15/what-is-president-elect-donald-trumps-net-worth.html rmanx??? Why does a man worth so much have so much debt? Surely he could pay off his debt no problem and have plenty to spare?
  10. I know you're playing dumb for effect but try to keep up. He employs Scott Pruitt as the administrator of the EPA, a group who he has tried to sue, will attempt to complete disband the EPA. Pruitt is a strong and vocal climate change denier and also has grubby ties to the oil and gas industries. With the EPA out of the way, US industrial interests will steamroll anything in their path with no resistance. Keystone is a perfect example of this. As a result, there is going to be a much higher risk of ecological disaster at the expense of increasing profits. Follow the money, how much did Pruitt donate to the Trump campaign and how much is going to make by destroying safe guards for his friends in industry?
  11. There is a difference between inviting differing opinion and utterly quashing any form of opposition to your agenda. And my narrative? Please try harder.
  12. Using his position to gag counter arguments to his position is a slippery slope. Fake news...alternative facts...all starting to sound familiar....as if I read it somewhere before...
  13. Anti-science? Really? Yup, all part of the anti-science movement piggy backing on Trump. Defunding NASA...check Defunding the EPA and its research into climate change...check Thin edge of the wedge... Next it will be creationism being taught as science in all schools as a requirement (The (un)education lady is very much a Christian science nut)
  14. Debts of nearly a billion dollars? Yeah, who wouldn't want that?
  15. That is one way to clear his debts in China. he has debt? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
  16. That is one way to clear his debts in China.
  17. Well considering the Republicans have the majority in the House and the Senate, as well as the Speaker of the House position, its likely they will get a lot done. Not sure if any of it will actually result in positive change.
  18. And another Trump anti-science, big government bull shit move: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/jan/24/epa-department-agriculture-social-media-gag-order-trump "The Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Agriculture have been placed under de facto gag orders by the Trump administration, according to documents obtained by news organizations. The president has banned EPA employees from “providing updates on social media or to reporters,” according to interagency emails first obtained by the Associated Press, and barred them from awarding new contracts or grants as well. Trump is reportedly planning massive cuts and rollbacks for the agency."
  19. You mean the long running protests by Native American peoples, protesting against an environmental disaster waiting to happen through their lands? Trump has issued 10 executive orders in 5 days. At this rate he'll easily be the most prolific since the 70's (although he has some way to beat I think it was Franklin D Roosevelt's 3500ish). It also has nothing to do with his financial links to the Keystone pipeline... Whoops...oh yes it does: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016/oct/26/donald-trump-dakota-access-pipeline-investment-energy-transfer-partners "Donald Trump’s close financial ties to Energy Transfer Partners, operators of the controversial Dakota Access oil pipeline, have been laid bare, with the presidential candidate invested in the company and receiving more than $100,000 in campaign contributions from its chief executive. Trump’s financial disclosure forms show the Republican nominee has between $500,000 and $1m invested in Energy Transfer Partners, with a further $500,000 to $1m holding in Phillips 66, which will have a 25% stake in the Dakota Access project once completed. The information was disclosed in Trump’s monthly filings to the Federal Election Commission, which requires candidates to disclose their campaign finance information on a regular basis."
  20. Its already happening. Seats that used to be reserved for actual news outlets are being given to "alternative" news outlets along the lines of bloggers and the like. Don't be surprised to see the like of Alex Jones there...
  21. "CBS....low rates...bad figures....FAKE NEWS!!!!"
  22. http://www.billboard.com/articles/events/women-in-music/7595964/women-in-music-2016-most-powerful-executives Clearly all men...
  23. She only requires men to validate her existence when they're granting her a career, funding her albums, organising her tours and giving her the platform to dress like a whore and act like a hypocrite. Yes...Men and men alone do all that...
