  1. It's a filthy little shit spot in the Med. They will have to do a lot to maintain their tax haven status. Without it Gibralter is nothing. I wouldn't discount them selling out on the UK in order to maintain their current status. It may well be a golden opportunity for them. Without the tax breaks it's a monkey infested British colonial shit hole.
  2. Sometimes your posts are really funny Albert. This is not one of those times.
  3. Aye, a small part of a small country was able to stop the EU in its tracks, just shame that hadn't happened before the vote, would have stopped the whole "unelected dictatorship" bollocks right there and then I hope Howard Quayle is watching this closely because how they deal with a small nation like Gib is going to be the template for how they deal with other small nations like us. This is the first proper political football in the Brexit negotiations. Can't see they would support us if their interests and our interests were in conflict. The only thing in Gibs favour is that Spain wants it. Nobody will want us, or to do a deal with us, if it ever come down to it because of our alleged abusive tax practices. Ironically Gib voted almost 95% to Remain so it's citizens have been royally shafted by the British public. But May will treat the Dependencies "respectfully" so when we get fucked up the arse, at least they'll fuck us up the arse respectfully!
  4. They have to agree it but you are incorrectly linking it to Gib. They will agree it because there is too much vested interest at stake. They want to sell their stuff and heads will be banged together. You worry too much. Personally I hope they DON'T agree it. A clean break would be sorted much sooner and we could get on with it instead of this nonsense for years on end.So it definitely WILL NOT occur to nations like Spain to use the threat of a UK WTO only deal for political leverage? Phew! Thank goodness for that! It's win win for Spain in all fronts. They get to escalate the fight over Gibraltar, maybe even get it back, and when the UK refuses to pay it hundreds of millions to continue healthcare provision for UK expats it gets to see all the expat wanker ex-taxi drivers from Romford who have ruined the Costas for decades sell up and go back to the UK with their tails between their legs. I think Europe is now rather liking Brexit. And remember what ever happens the Brits voted for it to happen!
  5. I'm not trying at all I think it's genuinely hilarious. It's a tax dodging shit hole and Britain is well off without it. By the time all this ends Britain will have relegated itself to a totally insular nation with no global reach at all. Just what they all wanted when they voted for Brexit! This is great news.
  6. Doesn't say that. Read it again.Read what again? The report on Gib. It says that a trade deal would not apply to Gib unless that is agreed between UK and Spain, not that Spain has a veto on the whole deal. Gib is more than accustomed to being supplied from the UK.From where? The media is getting interesting now. Gibraltar voted overwhelmingly to remain and yet Britain may well now be rid of that sack of shit mooching colony of tax dodgers in Spain. One of the great curve balls of Brexit. If the jocks go Britain will consist of England and Wales and virtually nothing else. What a great emerging global power house a bunch of Little Englanders and some angry Boyo's will be! Maybe they'll do the same with us too? I can't see any fight being had over the crown dependencies and they'll most certainly drop us like a brick the minute our tax dodging credentials cut across any further trade deals they might want to sign with the EU.
  7. What doesn't make sense is linking, in any context, security and trade. The two things are completely separate. Britain can compete on trade and partner on security. Anything else would be idiotic. Separately - it's obvious today that we are less and less defined by borders. Especially younger and more ambitious people. We are not in the same tribes simply for being from the same places. That's a great thing. I agree what a disgusting statement to add to a letter on relationships and trade deals. As if she (or the UK) is ever not going to assist in sharing intelligence to ensure the lives of people around the world are not best protected just to get a trade deal - that sets the tone of the whole selfish Brexit debate to me. Agree with us or some of your citizens might inadvertently die if we feel like it. That line should never have been in the letter and will come back to haunt the UK and May in particular. It just shows how selfish and disgusting the debate has become.
  8. Unelected? To whom are you referring? I'm betting on unelected bureaucrats seeing as that's what he said. But they are elected...Nigel Farage was making plenty of cash being our elected representative (even though his attendance was sketchy at best) Yes Farage took over £100k a year for more than 10 years to achieve nothing of substance at all for the people who voted for him as MEP. It's great that such an unashamed lazy chancer got the backing of the UK public over Brexit having shamelessly ripped them off for the previous 10 years having had a lovely life on the EU payroll pretending to be an MEP.
  9. Yes the Manx Taliban are everywhere in the Isle of Man. Always willing to hold everything back so they never have to get outside of their comfort zone or question themselves. The same as all those who go to Church on a Sunday trying to fool themselves and pretend they have nothing to hide.
  10. Oh dear. Did I upset the hospital mafia?
  11. How do you know this, Jack? Or are you making things up again..? Show them how it's done with the facts then Jack-- provide some for this... If I did that Dilligaf, the whole world as we know it would come to an end. Er, I think it was "Quilp" that challenged you. Was it really? Just sounded like the same dead noise. Are you sure it wasnt you?

  13. According to MFs most angry and pathetic poster who seems incapable of ever adding any facts or substance to a debate.
  14. Believe me Jack, I really wish that was true. I really do. You really wish I wasn't buying it?
  15. Not buying it. Bets on someone who cashed out, who is now getting more cash post cashing out. Still funded (indirectly) by the taxpayer.
  16. I may well be a prick, but I am not a Civil Servant If you're paid from taxpayer funds your a civil servant. It's just semantics. Well I am self employed for one and your statement is incorrect. Those paid by government, with taxpayers money are not all Civil Servants at all. How did you get to that conclusion ? As I said. If you're paid from taxpayer funds in most people's minds your a civil servant. If you're self employed with a government agency you're either stupid, or have retired and have come back for second dibs. I don't know why you can't grasp the Civil Service thing. However you are totally wrong in your guesses at my employment. I work for a private employer. So retired from the public sector and come back for second dibs via an agency then?

  19. Probably stupid civil servant pricks like you.
  20. Most people know how it works Stu and you could fill these pages for years and not one of them would be convinced otherwise as you're defending the people who pay your wages. That's a total conflict of interests which totally negates anything you happen to say on the subject. Owned by the people for the people? I'm sure there's a communist government somewhere that uses that very same strap line. The alternative expression of that is "state owned" Just a plain f*****g stupid post. You really can't be serious ? It would seem to be that in the IOM there are a few hundred people who consistently defend MR from such claims, and about 30,000 who openly find the whole situation and the false justifications hilarious. It is, de facto, a state broadcaster. It is funded by the taxpayer. It could not survive in its current form without the taxpayer subsidy. Conclusively it is very clear that it's funding status 100% drives its editorial and journalistic policy. So you would be happier if it ended up a complete shite station like 3fm or "energy". FFS are you 12 y o or something? MR is worth every penny it receives from us in my opinion and leaves a lot of other local radio stations, in the UK, in it's wake. Strange though how all the MR haters seem to listen long enough each day to know what is broadcast. Yes if it was taken off air tomorrow I really couldn't give a toss.

  23. Back to the usual standard of your informed debate I see. What's to debate about the post that preceded mine? It was utter nonsense. Please don't pretend otherwise. Not at all Frances is a long standing and eminently sensible poster on MF and a mine of knowledge on Manx history. It's apparently only you you thinks what she said was "utter nonsense" Proving that you talk "utter nonsense"
  24. Says MFs most conjecture based poster ever who can never back up an argument other than stating "Because I say so"
