  1. I dont think theres enough interest to get this going by the looks of it. I thought there would be more folks interested to be honest. Maybe revisit when the expansion comes out towards the end of the year.
  2. I have noticed a few people that lurk here also play WoW. Would there be enough interest in forming a local WoW guild, name/server/faction to be decided. Whether it be for newly created toons or established older ones looking for something new. There may already be one out there that I havent heard of ? So WoW players post below if this interests you and you have any thoughts on it.
  3. After a few of the comments on here I eventually got round to watching "Rise of the foot Soldier" last night. Amazing film, i'm not sure how I missed this first time around. It's a bit like a British Goodfellas with a bit more graphic violence. Taking you on a trip through the london gangland firms via the 70's, 80's and 90's. Extremely graphic mind you but I thought that added to the realism. Obviously not for the squeemish. Based on a true story as well. Loved the bit in the club when Carlton is taking E for the first time.
  4. Watched 'Up in the air' last night. Very enjoyable film. Clooney was his superb best in it. 9/10 from me.
  5. Watched Zombieland last night. Twas very good, however I was expecting better after hearing all the ace things about it.
  6. Watched Knowing with Nicholas Cage last night. Decent enough, quite a few glaring mistakes, however some very good visuals and special effects.
  7. Yep, agreed the Happening is a load of old mans shoes.
  8. Watched The Hangover last night. Laugh out loud funny. The baby scene was sick but hilarious.
  9. I got around to watching The Mist last night. As already stated the ending is excellent.
  10. It is definately one of those films to watch again and again. I usually watch it once a year, however there was a time we used to watch it on a weekly basis, usually after coming back from The Tardis after an evening on the beer.
  11. Watched Body of Lies last night. - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0758774/ Ridley Scotts latest action flick. It see's Leonardo DiCaprio and Russel Crowe in a slick war against terror film. I liked it because it was both anti american and anti terrororist. The story was sympathetic to the innocent local people in the middle east caught up in the conflict. Some good twists and turns and the camera work was top notch as you would expect from Ridley Scott. Definately worth a watch if you get chance.
  12. I would of thought it would of been a lot more than 30 million. Thats what I was saying Albert. Not grumbling with the price just think there under budgeting.
  13. I have to question £30 million. Surely this is nowhere near the cost of building this kind of project. I would of said it would of been nearer double that.
  14. Watched Changeling over the weekend. Amazingly powerful fim, especially as it's a true story. Angelina Jolie's best performance to date unquestionably.
  15. Yep I remember it, must of been in the early eighties ? Childhood relationships set in the 50's IIRC.
  16. Watched Wanted last night. Very slick film. Sort of like a dark humourous Matrix style film. Some of the action scenes in it are truly amazing. Great camera work and great sound.
  17. I watched seven pounds last night. I agree, a very moving and powerful story. Will Smith showing again just how good an actor he is.
  18. Aye, I watched that last night, thoroughly absorbing. Definately Danny Boyle at his brilliant best.
  19. Watched Burn after Reading the other night, Coen Brothers at their dark funny best. Clooney and Pitt were great, especially Pitt (dont usually see him in that kind of role) overall a great tale.
  20. Agreed with all the comments about In Bruges. Wickedly funny, brilliantly scripted and acted. Colin Farell showing he can act. Love the fact that it laughs in the face of political correctness. "What about the black midgets and the white midgets, would they fight each other. Jees I would love to see that" Superb.
  21. Yeah i've just moved some of the more popular food and drink posts in here from the general forum. If there are other older ones you want moving just bump them and one of the mods will move them in here. Cheers
  22. Hello, The admins and mods have decided to open a new forum for people interested in the food and drink scene in the Isle of Man. Over the last year there has been an ever increasing number of posts dotted around the forum regarding restaurants, cafes and pubs that can sometimes get missed. Some of these forum posts have been very helpful for people wanting to have a bite to eat or go out for a drink on the Island. With that in mind we are pleased to announce the new Food and Drink Forum. This is a place to post your experiences of local restaurants, bars and cafes and also post any cooking and recipe tips you may have. Happy eating and drinking.
