Stef
My understanding is, when a domain expires it goes into a 30-day redemption period. This gives the company an additional chance to-register. If they fail to register the domain in the redemption period, it goes into a 5-day "Pending-Delete" phase, it can't be renewed and it isn't available for registration. Following this 5-day period, it's in the public domain... (runs to get credit-card) Think it's 40 days' grace, with a total time to expiry of 75 days. Mike Davidson, creator of Newsvine, wrote an excellent article explaining how domains drop here: http://www.mikeindustries.com/blog/archive...expiring-domain As for weather sites, the Manx Government handily puts the shipping forecast up here: http://www.gov.im/infocentre/metoffice/ My preferred site is Magic Seaweed, which is excellent for surfers: http://magicseaweed.com/UK-Ireland-MSW-Sur...arts/1/wind/in/ (The swell one doesn't go up to the IoM properly, but if you look at the detailed report or the one for Hell's Mouth they're usually good enough.) Gonna make a few phone calls and see if anyone I know will be out. http://magicseaweed.com/Brandon-Bay-Surf-Report/667/

I imagine Aileens might well be extremely impressive if the conditions are right for her to work! e.g.
