The Old Git
Presumably RFA aren't "military"? http://www.shipais.c...?mmsi=233063000
Halfbaked
Presumably RFA aren't "military"? http://www.shipais.c...?mmsi=233063000 Correct, hence why this particular ship would not have shown up on the AIS as it is a military ship
The Old Git
So was the ship in PE bay the Fort Rosalie or a Type 23 Frigate?
Tempus Fugit
this reminds me of a time in Norway where a sub was spotted in a fjord and there was hysteria and panic in the locals, until it turned out to be one of their own !
hugh janus
Really? just put HMS in the search box then. HMS and RFA ships can and will switch off AIS for operational reasons. It's no good a ship of HM running dark if the RFA coming to supply it quacks. However - I do know a man that can tell you what it is from that picture - he will probably tell you the speed, fuel on board, wind direction and what they had for breakfast too - I will send him a link and see what he says.
