Bananaman Posted October 21, 2013 Share Posted October 21, 2013 Do you think they do it to make them more interesting - you know, hire someone with a quirky voice / accent / catchphrases and people will warm to them? Isn't the Geordie accent supposed to be the most reassuring or something and that's one of the reasons they locate call centres there? Personally I can't understand it. Fixed. Can remember when my Uncle and I had to go to court in Peel for a minor driving offence and we had a welsh bloke/deemster passing judgement on our punishment, I just nodded, didn't have a clue what he mumbled and my uncle asked him to speak up. 3 points and a £15 fine for me, 9 points and a £90 fine for my uncle.
