Mr Bear
Just in case anyone doesn't know yet, there was an incident at a Ramsey electrical substation that has cut power to quite a large area. They're trying to restore power as quickly as possible. If it was the loud boom I heard as the lights in the house dipped then I hope nobody was working on it at the time. Shake me up Judy
No panic though; most households in Ramsey have still got their oul back-up generators, worked off the mangle in the wash house. The womens will be out there now, sleeves rolled up, going hard on the handle so him indoors won't miss a minute of the football.

Did I miss something while I was in Spain? Has using two profiles become compulsory now?

Mr Bear
It was some switching gear that failed quite noisily. Powers back and they're working on it right now. The IOM has quite a sensible mini-grid system that allows sections to be bypassed.
Tarne
The traffic lights in the square were down which led to the most freely flowing traffic there I've ever seen
Neil Down
Nothing more guaranteed to cause traffic mayhem on the island than a set of traffic lights or a roundabout
