Rog
The problem is that it contravenes international law to render someone stateless. If a person were to have dual nationality where their British nationality was NOT their nationality at birth then by all means revoke their British nationality, but otherwise these people have an absolute right to return to the UK. Rog
It's interesting to compare and contrast what has taken place in which people travelled to support ISIS and those who travelled to join the International Brigade in the case of the Spanish civil war. She remains British unless she elects to surrender her British nationality. Under the UDHR Article 15 (unfortunately) the government have no option. PmJ
So she trots off to join daesh but now wants to come back to plunder UK state benefits. She doesn't regret travelling to daesh controlled Syria. She'll be a problem if she can't understand what it is she is reviled for.
the stinking enigma
Nobody calls them daesh anymore, it didn't catch on. 2

She could be anyone. I would expect her to have to prove who she is. I view this as the same as the death penalty - black and white. I agree with abolishing the death penalty because just one mistake nullifies the argument. Equally these dead-heads left the UK where the rule of law pervades our socirty to join an unbelievably cruel and brutal death cult. If we allow them to re-enter the UK then just one of them harming a UK citizen nullifies the argument to let them return. I personally think the risk is too high....
