P.K. Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Tonight at 8:00 pm BBC2 the new series of Saving Lives At Sea gets underway (sorry). Episode One tonight features our brave lads from The Albert Port St Mary rescuing three folks from a yacht who decided to go sailing with a storm brewing. I'm not sure if the footage will reveal the rescue took place about 700 yards from the breakwater... I'm tempted to watch it down The Albert no doubt with lots of laughter and ribald commentary. Enjoy! 1 Quote

Enjoy! I had my first trip to the Albert a few weeks ago and can confirm it appeared to be the Lifeboat staging post. With a hightide and the hill to the harbour, I reckon you could slide launch a boat straight from the pub! Douglas is next week apparently. 1 Quote
