So fibre isn’t available where I live. MT have admitted that, even though they are saying ‘from January 2023’ there is a huge backlog and it’s unlikely it will be available until later. My service is dire and, as I have my son moving in for a while, I want to upgrade to something that will allow a couple of devices to stream without buffering.

My question is - if I upgrade am I tied in for a fixed period? I’ll get fibre, when it’s available,  but don’t want to be restricted to an upgrade, for a fixed term, if I don’t have to be.

Currently on the basic Ultima (which used to be the ‘dogs bollocks’ but now won’t even let me stream Netflix on one tv without buffering).

Any advice appreciated

£75 per month for Starlink  i believe, with a £500 ish up front purchase for the dish (which you could resell when you decide to change to fibre)

A friend gets 250-300Mb down and about 40 up.  Well worth it if you ask me, and similar price to what MT are charging for fibre now anyway, as they seem to be far more expensive than the other ISPs

What I’d be really interested in is whether you can have one account with two, or more, dishes in different locations.
