I used to love this programme

But now you watch it and people generally gasp when the assessor says the piece of stuff they have bought is worth say  £300, which to be honest is not a lot in this day and age. And  they’ve probably been on the internet beforehand to give them some sort of idea. So why bother? It’s lost its mystique due to the ability to just Google everything

The BBC seems to have gone for old crap in a big way. Antiques Roadshow, Bargain Hunt, Repair Shop. Those, Homes Under The Hammer and Pointless (if ever something was aptly named) seem to form the backbone of the linear schedule, and they have done so now for many, many years. Just the death throes of broadcast television, I suppose.
