  1. A friend of mine watched that at the weekend too, said it emotionally scarred her. Is that a tad dramatic?
  2. Animal.. Sexy Beast, Footsolider, Dead Mans Shoes... are you making your way through my dvd collection? I agree with you on Dead Mans Shoes though, it's a fucking terrific film. Considine is amazing as Richard, I actually felt a bit intimidated at the " you looking at something? yeah you, you cunt" line. I finally watched Slumdog Millionaire last night. really good I thought. The two hours seemed to go by quite quickly.
  3. BBC4 tonight at 10. Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait.
  4. Yeah the Killing Fields is a great film. not easy going but well worth a watch and only £5 in HMV at the moment.
  5. Watched Vanilla Sky last night. Really enjoyed it, I think with the run at the Oscars/BAFTA's etc Film4 are having a bit of a week this week, 28 Days Later tonight Sigur last night, Godspeed tonight and BBC4 is showing Zidane:A 21st Century Portrait on Wednesday so some Mog then. TV is a post rock haven.
  6. just had a bit of Sunday Kung Fu action with Fist of Fury
  7. Has anyone seen Cass? That's about another member of the ICF. I haven't seen it yet but it looks quite good
  8. You played a 5ive megamix? christ what Is wrong with you?..... OK Everybody get u, was pretty class
  9. yes you most likely did. a fine stride I'd imagine too
  10. There's a quote from Stavros.. hahahahha me funny me funny!!! I saw K.os Theory at the weekend. I didn't see Girl89 throwing chips in Ramsey but the image is quite funny. The locals all gathering round her like Africans round a Red Cross truck as she doles out vinegar drenched chips to the poor nothern bastards. edited to say fucking Stav got in there before me!!!
  11. A quick overview of two films I watched last night. Firstly there was Frontiers. This French horror is set in modern day Paris, bang in the middle of the riot heavy French elections. Five people have just robbed a bank and after one of them dies in a nearby hospital the remaining four take refuge in a countryside Inn. Not the best of choices it will seem as the Inn is run by Neo Nazi cannibals. Herein begins a series of torture scenes, demented laughing and an old man (Father) in various Nazi uniforms shouting in German. This slice of Euro Horror finds itself nicely placed in the Torture Porn genre, so anyone who didn't enjoy watching Hostel, Saw, The Devils Rejects etc might want to think twice about sitting down to watch this. Karin Testa does a brilliant job in the lead role. There will no doubt be a U.S. remake of this, or a similar film to come out in the next couple of years. If it is made as well as Frontiers then bring on more Facsist Cannibals. My last film for the night was once again French, this time shying away from the horror and moving onto Thriller. Tell No One is the story of Alex and Margot. A happily married couple who take a trip to a remote lakeside cabin for a weekend. One night when skinny dipping Margot is murdered and Alex knocked unconsciouss. Skip forward 8 years and Alex is still haunted by the murder of his wife. One day he recieves an email with an attached video, CCTV of Margot alive and well. 2 bodies are uncovered the same place Margot was found dead. Margot's murder case re opens and Alex is once again placed as a suspect. A race is now on for Alex to find out why his wife is alive, where she is and who the secret emailer is. At the same time the police and henchmen of a local millionaire are also keen to convict Alex and find Margot. Brilliantly paced film, the acting is fantastic and the storyline full of twists and interesting characters. If there was some sort of star system I'd give it ****
  12. Watched Calvaire last night from the makers of Switchblade Romance.. erm quite odd. Imagine Misery mixed with The League of Gentlemen. There's not many filler scenes in there so it plods along at a good rate. Good film.
  13. Saw Outpost last night. Nazi Ghosts killing Mercenaries. Not as gory as it's made out to be. Story runs along quite swiftly so good for people with little attentinon span, but not the best horror out there. Need to see Eden Lake
  14. Going to see Seven Pounds this week sometime.
  15. Watched Requiem for a Dream again last night. Good little film. Of for some horror tomorrow night with Rec. Great Spanish fright fest.
  16. oh dear.. The trailer for that looked quite good aswell. We have to wait another year before Sin City 2 is out. Need to go and see The Curious Curse of Benjamin Button, that looks alright.
  17. Watched Enter the Dragon last night. utterly love it, Fist of Fury tonight As luck would have it I found a blank DVD laying round on the pavement outside my house yesterday and bugger me blind it's only got a copy of Frost/Nixon and Slumdog Millionaire on it. I might jus thave to check their authenticity before handing the disc over to the authorities.
  18. Deadmans Shoes is faultless in my mear eyes. Paddy Considine is brilliant in it. It took me a few double takes before I realised it was him in 24 hour party people.
  19. 51st State is very funny. Still need to see Ghost Town, but a guy in the office has said it's very good.
  20. Yep Rise of the Footsoldier is a brilliant film. If you've not seen This is England check that out too. I watched Ed Wood last night. That was quite good. Dead Set tonight
  21. did he see you? I was hiding behind his christmas tree. He didn't suspect a thing. I'm like a party ninja
  22. Drinking the wee? oh dear dear things have gone downhill since I've been away. I saw Tango on NYE.. though I was sat in his living room at the time.
  23. erm .... 5 I think that I knew of. Definately you, me , Lucy, Phildo, and I'm not sure whether Bonzo and Harmony_Dischord are on here or not.
