Where that crash has happened, at the Douglas end of the mountain mile, there’s a left right kink in the road with adverse camber on the right hander. There’s also quite often a puddle at the side of the road which leaves the surrounding road wet. Not making excuses for the driver but it doesn’t help matters.

They were totally engineered to increase TT lap times. Around the same time as they were modified the last slight left hander at Guthrie’s had the left side of the road widened and what used to be a ditch was tarmaced over to give bikes a wider entry to the following right hander. It serves no purpose other than for bike racing.

Douglas to Peel has limits all the way now doesn’t it? So why are you crying for a limit on the mountain? You probably never go up there anyway...just like everyone else calling for a limit up there.

And then sharing their apparent outrage on social media. Hundreds of comments calling for him to be sacked, when in actual fact 99% had no idea what had even happened, let alone listened to what had been said on the show. It’s a sad world where a good radio presenter can potentially be taken out as easily as that.

I’ve downloaded the entire 3 hour .mp3 of the show. If I get time tomorrow I’ll cut all the music and adverts out so you can listen to it. Stu said nothing wrong and was basically attacked from the start by some precious flowers after they didn’t like the factual stats he posted on here yesterday. It escalated from there.

Saw them at the Stanley in Ramsey today. They were walking empty pallets to the pub as I drove past. There were kegs in the back of the lorry. Can only assume they were collecting rather than delivering.

I’m sure the first caller today said the F word live on air and Andy Wint didn’t even notice.

It’s closed at the moment due to an RTC at Waterworks.

What are all those people who don’t even have a hosepipe going to complain about now?

If you stand on the dam at Sulby reservoir looking down the dry side it’s a hella long way down from the top to the bottom. Is the reservoir side not the same depth? If it is there must be a shit ton of water left in it.

Perhaps Manx Utilities should explain the reason for the hose pipe ban to the people in charge of the Public Sector pension fund.

A lot of what I'm hearing might be more due to the way I've got my car stereo set up - for music rather than voice, although I don't notice the difference in levels on other stations. Energy sounds OKish for both, Three FM sounds awful for both (do their presenters work in a toilet?). I've noticed with Manx Radio though, when they play music it sounds way better than other stations. Recently Stu played Brian Adams, The only things that looks good on me... and the (rhythm?) guitar which I've never really noticed before really stood out and sounded excellent.

I only really listen to Talking Heads and the audio levels are the same on that - quieter than normal when Stu is talking but then when the adverts come on loud as hell. The worst one is when they connect down to the airport to the Scottish weatherman. With his accent and the terrible audio you can't understand a bloody word of it.

So when is it opening again? Was supposed to be closed until Monday but apparently these steam engines are allowed to go over Saturday morning.

Don't try to go via Ballacraine to Ramsey. Too many hillbillies with 20 year old 4x4s, horse boxes and tractors going about their business getting in your way.
