  1. I know closing the mountain road is a pain in the ass for people trying to earn a living but how else are DOI going to sleep with traffic going past all day?
  2. I hope my Dad's socks turn up in time for Christmas.
  3. I'm waiting for that guy's neck to pop.

  10. I see an Audi R8 crashed at the newly 'reprofiled' Keppel Gate today. It's on Manx.net's Facebook page.
  11. You and the other two are obviously people who don't have to travel between Douglas and Ramsey daily.
  12. If we were guaranteed to get an endless few months of snow covered roads people might buy proper winter tyres, but there's no point fitting them if the roads could be completely dry because they'll just wear out very quickly.
  13. If it's cheaper to hire it than buy it then how does the owner make money by leasing it out? It's not like they can lease to somebody else the rest of the year.
  14. Yeah, the road will be lifting next. Or has the doi guy that made that shit up been given early retirement too?
  15. Seem a bit bonkers out there today. Mountain closed twice this morning. Within minutes of it reopening the second time it was closed again due to an RTC at Mountain Box, while that was going on there was a crash at the 33rd Milestone. Now there's an RTC in Kirk Michael too.
  16. I was going to go over the mountain, got to the Ramsey Hairpin where the police had stopped the traffic so cars and bikes were queuing in the left lane. There are cones in the centre of the road and right side of the road is always closed for ambulance access. A taxi driver near the front did a u turn and drove back down the ambulance access lane and told his mate in another taxi to do the same. Then everybody started doing it when suddenly you could hear ambulance sirens coming from Ramsey. It took ages for the ambulance to get through only helped by those of us who hadn't turned around moving cones out of the way. I hope whoever crashed got their ambulance in time.
  17. We like our scaffolding up on the mountain don't we hey?

  19. Shirley the Currys one costs £495, no?
  20. Yeah, so then there'll be less cars at the hillberry lights so I can get through quicker.
  21. 3 months ahead of schedule? Well done boys! Someone in government must deserve a bonus for this achievement.
