If the sidecars do not return for 2023 then the new schedule will need revising. They cant add any more solo races and the superbike/ superstock will be doing 20 racing laps plus practices for the guys who ride the same bike in both.

They just did a full safety review, implemented a number of new procedures and rolled out for the first time a safety driven approach to the event. But the reality is some years are good and some years are bad, some years there are no racing fatalites but there are multiple road fatalies. Perhaps speed reduction does need to be looked at but regardless the course cannot be made meaningfully safer unlike the northwest 200 which is a far smaller and much simpler course.

We are lucky to live on a no through road and we know lots of our neighbours not because we are busy bodies. Our kids play out and it generates a great community spirit. This is a great idea especially for streets that are used as rat runs for traffic.

The road was wrecked with wagons going up there and then a frost created pot holes that the DOI patched and the circuit lost its licence with the ACU. There are plans to revive it needs DOI to resurface and then the course be inspected. It's a cracking circuit.

NW200 was streamed live on BBC website 15 years ago and was available on red button for just as long. Its nothing new at at all, its low hanging fruit in this day and age.
