  1. My understanding is that Loganair will operate the patient transfer. Should keep them pretty busy !
  2. Definitely Loganair. Not 100% sure about the Irish bit.
  3. They have around 8 aircraft, including a Jet,
  4. I'm sure easyJet would cease flying here tomorrow, if there was no money in it for them.
  5. No idea. The impression I got was it would be Loganair in their own right.
  6. Should be fine for you then. Also, all the controls for TV / lights etc etc are built into the side of the bed, so quite convenient if you're not able to get around easily.
  7. Have stayed in the Hub at Kings Cross. five minutes from the station. Found it to be very clean and the staff helpful. The rooms are very small, and not sure if they do accessable rooms, but if they do, I would recommend. Oh, they didn't offer hot breakfast when we stayed, if that's a deal breaker. Mainly pastries / continental type of set up. Edited to add that hotel prices look to be tumbling in London due to Covid. Some great deals on Expedia.
  8. Haven't seen the nuts and bolts of the deal personally, but it will be operated by Loganair.
  9. The rescue plan (at least for patient transfer) has been sorted, and it doesn't involve any Irish metal. Unsure of the first day it will fly, but a deal is in place.
  10. My money is on Stobart aircraft operating with Aer Lingus flight numbers.
  11. If you paid by credit card for flights costing more than £100 you will be covered under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act, meaning your card company will refund your money. If your flight cost less than £100 you may have protection under the chargeback scheme. Please speak to your debit/credit card provider if you require more details about Section 75 and chargeback.
  12. Apparently, Ernst & Young staff travelling to regional airports as we speak.
  13. Eh? They were laying rails yesterday when I walked past them by Castle Mona shops. Loads of resurfacing being done Jaks to the rendezvous corner. So 'lack of activity' is a bit of poetic license isn't it?
  14. Feeder flights (which is what this will be when re-branded Virgin) don't make money anyway. Much the same with BA.
  15. Turns a full circle though. Flybe will re-open their base here in the Spring, basing a couple of Q400's here when Stobart give their aircraft back once their lease is up. Flybe are advertising for staff here I think (or so someone told me).
  16. Most of the flights I've been on to LGW and back have been rammed. Not sure how they would get a lot more business tbh. Surprised they haven't muscled in on Manchester yet.
  17. It was a relatively small 1993 mortgage, but yes, it paid up (or will do next month). We have moved on to another property in the meantime, but if we had stayed there, we would be mortgage free next month.
  18. Nope, because it actually made up lost ground and came good in the end.But yes, it was mis- sold, as the bank made out it was no risk, and it would pay off the debt. It might just have easily not done if the stock market hadn't been so strong in recent times. I also appreciate this isn't comparing apples with pears with regard to pensions. Just highlighting the similarities.
  19. Well when the bank push you into an endowment (it will be fine son, and will definitely pay your debt), and stretch you as much as they can on the loan, it's not easy to do anything about it if you don't have the funds. If you had taken the option of making a claim, you would have found yourself lucky to have got more than a handful of cash.
  20. 'You Cant' Why not? Exactly what the endowment companies told us. Sorry chap, not gonna pay what we said they would. You'll have to make alternative arrangements to pay off your house.
  21. At least now you can book different numbers of passengers out and return. Was always a pain when taking the daughter back to uni.
  22. Would we not charge them port tax per passenger like everywhere else?
