As long as the money is spent on proper services to enable people to stay at home for longer with their own independence and the right care, I don’t have a huge problem with this in principle. However, they probably won’t put anything in place in addition to the woeful services that are there already. There is a massive gap in services for people struggling to live alone and being dropped into a nursing home. Just another area where the island could be leading the way with new approaches to helping people live at home but instead do nothing. Fingers crossed this is the start of some positive news in that area.

What have you seen that makes the intended meaning very clear? I have only seen one screenshot and spoken to a few people who saw the actual thread. Everyone who actually saw the whole conversation seems to disagree with you?

You are making things up. I posted a press link, and spoke to a few people who suggested the last few minutes were worth listening to. I don’t watch it as I was working. I don’t know who moved the vote against Mr young but you obviously do as you stated it wasn’t Ms Craine? Hence my question as I assumed it was her in a tit for tat. Where is that video anyway?

Can you provide the info I asked for please? If you have it then I am genuinely interested and might change my views. Who proposed the vote of no confidence against Mr Young, and what have other members posted publicly that could be deemed racist, sexiest etc? I am more than capable of changing my view on something when provided with evidence. Thanks

I think you need to look again at what she said. She called residents of Ramsey twats. I am not aware of anything on other people’s pages that is racist or sexist. Can you provide links? Who dod propose the vote of no confidence? Was it her partner or one of his mates? I genuinely don’t know so would be interested to hear. She is a member of the Green Party, might even be deputy or something. She very clearly wrote that article or at the least had a significant say in it. I don’t know what you are so defensive? It feels a bit like women sticking up for each other but I might be wrong. If wilf had called the people of Ramsey twats would you be defending him?

Mr Young committed a crime. Was prosecuted, found guilty and dealt the appropriate punishment which he presumably served or paid. I am sure if there was something in the regulations of being a member of RTC that meant there should have been a vote of no confidence at the time it would have been jumped on and dealt with then. Ms Craine has insulted every rate payer in Ramsey. I am pretty sure if any council member in any town and of any gender had done the same then people would be wanting them out. It is not befitting of any elected representative and shows very poor self control and judgment. She backs this up even further by then trying to deflect attention and throw Mr Young under the bus for something that if she was really bothered she could have raised previously. You must be aware that the “article” was written by and Craine?

Just for clarity the whole comment is quoted below. If she had added “who drop litter” on the end you might have a point. She didn’t, she said the town that she represents is “full of twats” ”“yeh I’m ashamed of this town too. It’s disgusting and full of twats””

If she had called people who drop litter island wide tests that’s one thing. All I have seen is a comment referring to residents of Ramsey as twats.

I wonder who wrote that? In my humble opinion it loses all credibility when referring to Males and Females and insinuating that sex or gender has anything to do with it.

We pay a fixed monthly amount based on annual usage and current prices. It suits us as we know exactly why we pay each month and by this time of year are nearly always in credit knowing that if we use more than we expected over the winter it doesn’t really matter. There won’t be a one size fits all that’s works for everyone, but we run our joint billing account on a fixed amount for each bill over the 12 months. Works for us, might not for others.
