sorley
unless they aren't wankers trying to change the place That's interesting. A lot of people like the Isle of Man because they percive it hasn't changed. Why move to somewhere like Lewis and try and change it? Defeats the purpose in my view. Anyway, why are people leaving? Lack of work mainly our economy was built on fishing and sheep farming, Fishing is mostly gone now apart from a few prawn/lobster boats and the price of wool/lamb means the only farming going on is of the wind type and we must be the best place for it given our weather but it doesn't provide much jobs apart from the initial installation and even then most of that is done by outside contractors. Mind you a company has taken over the old oil fabrication yard near stornoway recently to build wind farms creating 60 jobs allegedly.
