Just a reminder, there is no cliff at the end of Ronaldsway's runways, unlike that one in India (or Jersey for that matter). Not wishing to pre-judge the outcome of the tragic accident in India, PPrune threads indicate that the aircraft touched down half way down the runway. If this is proved to be correct then any length of RESA would probably not have been enough!! My condolancies to all the bereaved families.
