Ash and gas continued to billow from the earth on Sunday plume across the land Its being put at a VEI 6. looks like it could be a cold winter again!!!! Chinahand Posted June 5, 2011 Share Posted June 5, 2011 Just to say Gazza, only parts of Europe and the US have had cold winters recently - Greenland etc have had warm ones; and on average the World has been warm. If it is a VEI6 volcano it probably will have a global influence lowering average temperatures for the entire world - where are you seeing figures on the size of the eruption - I couldn't find them on a quick google.
