According to the article writer, a dozen of the best are: Smells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana Crazy in Love - Beyoncé Common People - Pulp Back in Black - AC/DC I Am The Resurrection - The Stone Roses Ghost Town - The Specials Is There a Ghost - Band of Horses Dancing Queen - Abba Fat Bottomed Girls - Queen One Step Beyond - Madness Imagine - John Lennon I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor - Arctic Monkeys Apart from the fact that the list is heavily laced with songs from the 70s/80s, I'm sure that everyone has their own opinion and that there are 'intros' that immediately set off the little frisson of anticipation of particular favourites. In my case, the intro to Long Cool Woman - The Hollies seems to be a near perfect start for a pop song. Anyone with more suggestions?
