  1. Ah good. Finally some advisors to the advisors. Sir Humphrey would be pleased.
  2. Perhaps Peel Group will build it and coincidence the additional power is used for Peel Group cannabis farm 🤔😂😂
  3. https://www.manxutilities.im/media/2777/transition-decision-making-002-onshore-wind-project-site-selection-part-2.pdf another illuminating report. especially about the beach landing being the most viable option. wonder why that changed so radically? "The delivery of 5 x 4.2MW turbines to Earystane is possible via a barge and beach landing at Castletown Beach. Other routes examined are not believed to be feasible at this stage" Ah, the answer "Access from Douglas Port is currently restricted by roundabouts at Ballasalla. However, the Transport team note that on completion of the bypass at Ballasalla, this constraint may be removed which would enable 5MW turbines to be delivered to the site without construction of a beach landing ramp. This would further reduce the costs of development at this site and remove all requirement to utilise Rushen Primary School grounds as the specialist delivery vehicles for a turbine of this scale would have advanced capabilities for negotiating tight corners. It would also substantially reduce the risk of limitations that may arise from cultural heritage surveys under Phase 2 of the project"
  4. Interesting detail of the programme. Seems excitingly ambitious
  5. the headline is at the end. it appears DFE costs £1.5 million more than it makes, despite a £16 million nest egg from Registrations.
  6. https://www.tynwald.org.im/spfile?file=/business/opqp/sittings/20212026/2024-GD-0035.pdf DFE latest made up figures - and i mean made up. plus they're solely responsible for the success of over 37,200 private sector jobs. Who knew...
  7. https://www.tynwald.org.im/spfile?file=/business/opqp/sittings/20212026/2024-GD-0035.pdf if you need a laugh, this will cheer you up. DFE made up figures for the past year DFE - "The Department will continue to operate with the highest levels of financial discipline to ensure responsible stewardship of public funds." just don't mention Love IM. DFE - "In addition to directly supporting the retention of over 37,200 private sector jobs" are they mad?

  9. https://www.iomtoday.co.im/news/mum-of-three-admits-ps140000-benefit-fraud-carried-out-over-almost-10-years-683075 by my maths at current rates of payment out of benefits that’s a cool 107 years
  10. If the news is to be believed, it seems poor old Rob has issued one of his 'open' rant letters using the wrong baseline data... Ooops Bless 'im On examples provided by Mr Callister, the department says it appeared the version of the guidelines he's referring to is the version in place prior to those changes being brought in. https://www.manxradio.com/news/isle-of-man-news/review-of-income-thresholds-for-public-sector-housing/
  11. I think the only people who don’t seem to have known was DFE. Fairly common knowledge.
  12. https://www.manxradio.com/news/isle-of-man-news/housing-vat-climate-and-tourism-among-concerns-raised-by-the-east-in-government-roadshow/ housing crisis is to be fixed by a report. Not even a strategy, a report full of made up numbers which assumes other made up numbers are met, is enough. rest easy people
  13. I meant the report has typos. Used to news release being crap by now
