Beelzebub3
I think you will find that this has been on the Governments agenda for a long time, Mr Longworth the saviour of Bus services on the Isle of Man will step up as acting CEO until privatisation with his old friends at Arriva, stitching up the taxpayers of the Isle of Man. Be careful when you ask for because we just might get it. ps Bendy bus's will be on order just after TT paid for by us and then handed back to the company we bought them from. watch this space. Why would you give the contract to run buses to a company that specialises in running buses. Madness!

RonnieD
More pay increase for these leeches. It's the (final salary) pension that is the big cost. This chap will be not too far away looking to end his days of the next few decades with a £k or so every week in his hipper.
Tempus Fugit
is this the usual trick of boosting the pension with a promotion just before retirement ? /cynicmode

Dead on, and don't think that will be the end of it ,all you arrogant individuals who would have the Bus Drivers and anyone else who interferes with your cosy little lives, shot. It may be you next. Good luck in looking for any support when the time comes.

Hope so. They know how to run buses efficiently and within budget. Unlike our current lot...... In all seriousness though Mr Longworth should be making a gesture of solidarity and forfeiting some of his perks as well. After all, we're all in this together aren't we.....
