Boo Gay'n
Can anyone list the major achievements of the Business Change Manager between 2008 & 2013? Two or is it three children now? Dan Davies is a lovely feller. Beth is gorgeous btw, were I to be inclined that way - so procreation is an unsurprising achievement. I think that the business change thingy is bigger now than just Dan. One of my drinking pals is in IOMG and says that first they added Colin Kniveton after he came back from his jollyday in Sark and then built an enormous committe on top, headed by Hon WE Nosferateare and [ably] assisted by famous change specialists like Richie Ronan. They have obliged most of IOMG to do option reviews which are meant to consider 'alternative means of service delivery', a la Scope and Structure Report. I'm not (nor is my pal) sure how this all fits in with Big Al's new restructuring in January.

carbon selector
It is impossible to effectively change the structure of Government from within. They will be tinkering with the deckchairs for evermore, every few years, at this rate. The only way to get a grip on the outrageous and lucrative for many IoM Government employment is to bring in independent outside consultants. The gravy train...is going out of control: and she blew....

localyokel
I'm not bothered about Cregeen saving us £5m. As far as I'm concerned if he could save us about £38,000 a year by not getting back in thatgood enough for me.

Poor Old Manxman
People of working age are mobile. If they don't like the deal they are getting from either their employer or their country, they can opt for a change. Once people retire, it is much harder to increase your income, or reduce your spend. Hands off our pensions!
