Water pressure

One of the real benefits of having moved out to Santon a couple of months ago is that I can enjoy a bracing shower again. On Westmoreland Road the water pressure was pathetic, so I usually had a bath. But at the new place there's enough pressure to have a virtual jetwash.

Question for you experts: why is that? I think the old place possibly had a cold water tank in the attic and I don't think the new place does - is that what makes the difference? Where does my water come from - Glencrutchery Road still? Is there a pumping station to get it up Richmond Hill?

A chap wonders about such things at times.

How is your internet though. I've heard that its quite slow over there?

Was getting 12Mb, now getting 13 (standard ADSL2) so no complaints.

Bloody hell Stu, a thread about water pressure, what's happened to you?

Get the Lotus washed and polished and pop along to Milntown next Sunday for some proper manly fun.

Is that Sunday morning though? I don't do Sunday mornings...

You probably now have a Megaflow or similar which provides hot water at mains pressure as opposed to the old tank in the loft gravity Fed system.

It is a more modern boiler so that possibly explains the hot side. But the cold pressure seems so much higher, and I'm further from the water factory!
