And the Most Amazing Thing about this Crash is that so few People were Hurt unlike the 1955 Grand LeMans Crash. I have not been able to see a Video on how her Car got Airborne but it may be similar to Grand LeMans as she may have clipped a Car in front of her and Bounced off of it going Airborne. 3X3 Where do you get the “grand” from?
quilp Posted November 25, 2018 Posted November 25, 2018 Prix, probably. Interesting that the inquiry into the crash revealed many reservations before and after the race that the track itself hadn't been modernised for these machines of increasing speed. It was 30 years old at the time of the disaster.

quilp Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 Yes, I gathered that. Is Druid confused? Possibly...
the stinking enigma Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 It used to be a grand prix though I'm not sure it was that year, it certainly was even after 1955
The Phat Tog Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 The Le Mans 24 hours has never been termed a Grand Prix. The circuit was used to host the French GP in 1921 but that was an entirely different event.
the stinking enigma Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 the first grand prix that france ever held was at le mans

According to Wiki, it started and finished in Le Mans but was a 60-ish mile circuit through a series of villages. Amazing.
John Wright Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 But by 1955 it wasn’t described as a Grand Prix.
