Funnily enough I dont but yes the thought of that illiterate clown having any sort of power fills me with dread.

I’m no fan of her politics at all, but why do you call her illiterate? Is it because:

A. She has a history degree from Cambridge.

B. She worked as a TV researcher and reporter before she went into politics.

C. She attended a selective grammar school.

D. She is black.

E. You didn’t mean to write the word illiterate and perhaps meant to say innumerate, or some other adjective.

I too am no fan of hers , she used to be referred to as the "Queen of Hackney" when I lived in central London.

That said I know someone with a history degree from Cambridge who has difficulty stringing two words together.

Some of the folk on here are a bit disparaging about reporters for the Manx press and radio

I attended a selective grammar school , not as a fee payer , but quite few did.

She may well be  clever and bright , I don't know,     but I have seen some amazing  CV's  presented by  some inept individuals.

Just saying

Are you Dianne abbott? I only ask as just like her anytime she suffers criticism it's because of the colour of her skin.

I couldn't give a toss what colour she is. She is an utter imbecile and probably one of the reasons labour wont be in power for a while

I’ll agree that Oxford and Cambridge do produce plenty of educated fools; Grayling and Johnson spring to mind. I’m surprised though that you have met illiterate graduates of either. In my experience the problem with some of them is that they can be talented writers and widely read, but otherwise far from clever.

Abbott herself delivers cracking speeches from time to time, her speech about the ISIS child being one. I wouldn’t for one minute hold back criticism of her because of her race. If you want to call her innumerate, racist, hypocritical, economically illiterate, a champagne socialist or whatever I would, in most cases, concur. If you’re going to accuse her of being illiterate though, you should back it up.
