I doubt that much of the 'original' was original - see Ship of Theseus (better know today as Triggers Broom)

Just about the same as any other vintage vehicle then, very few vintage vehicles are genuine survivors, vast majority have been restored with most parts replaced. Seems odd it was even an option especially given the year, daihatsu /Suzuki carry van/Bedford Rascal aside, I think the last proper petrol commercial van I drove was a transit with a pinto engine and strangely it had an auto box, absolutely hated every minute of it at the time, but I look back with fondness of it now.

Andy Onchan
The chassis/wheel base looks too long to be a Cabstar??
doc.fixit
Extended chassis?
AcousticallyChallenged
Well, whatever it started as was quite different too. The cabstar was a 2.7 litre diesel before being the 1.8 petrol tram according to the DVLA.
John Wright
Morecambe had horse trams. Some got converted to run with petrol motors well before WW1. During WW1 they were converted to run on town gas with rubberised canvas balloon tanks on the roof.
The Old Git
Couldn’t we just get a few of the motorised trams and the conductor could make clip clop sounds with coconuts? Do away with the troublesome tracks and they could expand the route along the harbour. 4
