Manx Bean
Be nice if the Isle of Man one day got the right date. For years they had it on a Sunday (I suspect due to the God Squad) and this year, the wrong weekend! In the UK its next weekend. I’m a Veteran and won’t attend on principle. It's because it clashes with the parish walk.

The Millennium was celebrated 21 years early, for basically made-up reasons.

Or trying to usurp the Millenium by staging a made-up Millenium in 1979.

A millennium can be a thousand years after any a particular event - just as a centenary is a hundred years. The fact that 1979 was a completely made-up one to get Charlie Kerruish a knighthood doesn't stop that being true.
