The Manx papers used to be produced and printed on the Island. Then that other Group took it over, the copy was prepared on Island and transmitted to a printers in England, printed and then shipped here.

The same could still done on Island if the presses were still maintained and up to date? Probably not still useable though?

If there were a modern printing company on the Island, our papers could be printed  here and possibly, an English National, transmitted and printed here???

Would it be worth it for the occasional lack of transport???

Didn’t the Courier used to be published on a Thursday, so would have been printed Wednesday? 🤔

Maybe recently but it was definitely a Thursday night in the early 70's.

Certainly through the late 90's the Courier was printed on a Wednesday night.

Actually I think you’ll find my suggestion is more cost effective.
For example you get economies of scale by having one big delivery of paper to be held in stock to be used as and when required rather than having to make daily deliveries.
Together with the associated costs. Fuel, drivers wages vehicle maintenance etc

Sometimes you need to be able to think outside the box.

More trolling...
