  1. Man-sen is a franchise route though which is somewhat different to them operating on behalf of Flybe, appreciate that perhaps matters not a bit to the average passenger though. The IOM flights are actually Flybe flights that they seem to pay Stobart to operate on some sort of ACMI contract. Problem as i see it is they have too few profitable routes that do not attract the attention of the big carriers to support their current size
  2. I think you will find that currently they only have the 2 stobart aircraft on the iom operating on their behalf and no Loganair aircraft. So not really a fair proportion. Most of Flybe maintenance is contracted to Monarch engineering division
  3. Not vast numbers out there. http://crew-center.com/liverpool-england-cruise-ship-arrival-schedule-2017 Many websites list the cruise ships port schedules, the one above gives you Liverpool for this year as an example
  4. The not so new radar at the airport might be handy to keep track of all the cruise ships though, or the remains of the jetty after a good Irish sea storm
  5. I hope the rest of the information is more accurate than the share price quoted, Flybe could just as easily decide to do the flights themselves rather than leasing in Stobart to do the flights for them, they could probably do Liverpool and Manchester without any aircraft being based here overnight although that could depend on what the terms of the patient transfer contract are. Open skies- one of the great legacies from our former leaders
  6. So what has changed then, has the Ben become less manoeuvrable or increased its draught?, has the port become more silted up?, has the aversion to risk increased?. The number of sailing cancelled would increase quite markedly if force 6/7 was going to be considered as too bad to sail going forward
  7. Is something up with the manoeuvrability of the Ben at the moment ?. Both sailings cancelled yesterday when it didn’t seem particularly windy and tonight’s Heysham sailing changed due to adverse weather yet shipping forecast showing only force 6/7 forecast. Perhaps its me but they didn’t seem to cancel until it was force 9 a few years ago
  8. Only one train a day as well Mon-Fri, no public transport for the night sailings it appears
  9. Perhaps just another example of why they should leave Heysham and move to a more resilient port, Birkenhead or Holyhead maybe?
  10. 'The farmer', probably had to cut and haul today because he can't control nature. When the grass is ready it's ready, not before, not afterwards. And he pays Manx road tax presumably, some people think everything normal should stop during Gods only TT. The trailer I followed did not appear to have a registration plate on it so have no idea, I actually agree that normal life should go on but since the mountain is one way and seems to be closed more than open it funnels a heck of a lot more traffic onto the Ramsey coast road which imo has much more potential for accidents than the mountain.
  11. And the farmer has picked today to cut his grass and move it between Whitebridge and Baldromma, you would think the police would have advised him not to do it these two weeks as most traffic seems to have to come this way to and from Ramsey
  12. Yes conceded. I was meaning Henderson lost more. Robert William Henderson 1627 38.55% John Ramsey Houghton 1615 38.27% Michael Coleman 688 16.30% Mark Atherton 290 6.87% John Ramsey Houghton 1376 32.58% Robert William Henderson 1257 29.76% Theo Fleurbaay 869 20.57% Peter Hill 722 17.09% If the contenders had made a bit of an agreement, perhaps one of the gruesome twosome might have been toppled last time! Who knows. Is that the same Michael Coleman who is now an MLC?
  13. Does anyone know if the money the DOI are not now going to pass on to the water authority has been taking out of their budget or are they cutting out paying it to the water authority just to avoid making savings elsewhere?
