  1. Some serious shit brewing. Just imagine how this might end if these people were gunned up and black?
  2. Has anyone ever met anyone who actually likes that ‘jokey’ format? It ‘s entirely possible that because we are all old farts we don’t like it but I was just genuinely wondering if you or any of your friends or family think the whole thing is a hoot? Please answer below.
  3. I hardly knew who he was until recently but yes, I concur. The lady on the Mannin Line put it far better than I can remember. Her point was mainly about the use of 'construction workers' and 'horticulture workers". Apparently over the course of a few days different words were used to describe said workers. Words that were ambiguous and open to interpretation. And this is the point. If we want people to not bend the rules then it has to be made ABSOLUTELY clear what the rules are and who they relate to. Even HQ agreed with her and said they'd do better next time. They just need to be sure that when they release a statement it's been scrutinised thoroughly before publishing. Throughly. Everything is open to interpretation as we have seen thats why is has to be crystal clear. It saves people like the police having to clear up the mess afterwards. Joined up government is a statement been bandied about for years but NEVER was there a time for egos to be put to one side and true collaboration put in place.
  4. Bloody marvellous. How do you find all these?
  5. He’s right. It’s the subtleties of the language that’s making things difficult. There was a lady in the Mannin line yesterday who gave some excellent examples to HQ of the selection of phrases and differing descriptive words used last week to inform the general public and suggested that in order to give a clear message to everyone that the descriptors were agreed in advance before going public. It’s basic common sense when dealing with disseminating information. HQ was left with no other option but to agree with her and said they would make more of an effort next time to do it better. When giving out important instructions to anyone it needs to be short, clear, simple to understand, and comprehensive. It shouldn’t need the CC or anyone else to translate it afterwards so it can be made clearer. It should be 100% clear from the start.
  6. That was really lovely. It was Neil Young and his music that got me playing guitar. I loved him but after ‘Harvest Moon’ times I stopped listening. That voice tho. Just perfect.
  7. Interesting. I follow her on the Twitters. We often chat about his very subject although her knowledge to mine is far superior. Thanks for sharing.
  8. Hostages. I was wrong about last night. He held it together. Someone has obviously been able to convince him to behave normally. It won’t last. He will blow.
  9. I'm not so sure. unless typical American rednecks all suffer from Greater Narcissism. There's a theory that his supporters are held in a mass Stockholm syndrome situation with Trump as their hostage guard. It would explain a lot. He's certainly showing serious signs of narcissistic injury right now after day after day of bombardment from the media and general public worldwide. He may not have taken questions for the last two days but I reckon he will tonight. He won't be able to help himself. With any luck he'll seriously implode and his millions of supporter may just have their eyes opened for the first time. If not now then soon. Hopefully.
  10. The programme to celebrate the life of Anglin Buttinore was superb. It brought back a lot of memories. Put together and presented by CDH, of course. Nice one girl.
  11. 40mph permanent speed limit and legalisation of cannabis and we coulD probably do away with the police force entirely.
  12. I have read in other places that it’s a giant ruse to reset the economies. But I’m not smart enough to know what that means or what benefits it would bring.
  13. I thought it was a maximum of one hour outdoors?
  14. The video circulating of the female doctor sitting to his left trying to keep herself from turning inside out while he spoke is extremely entertaining.
  15. Phil Gawne telling us all to start trimming our own hedges as they didn’t have the money to do it any more. Trouble is, it didn’t stop with the hedges. It was keeping the waterways clear, looking after and cutting the trees and removing dead wood, repairing and replacing Victorian walls and on and on...
  16. Funnily enough I’ve got a big job on today wiring up some ceiling pendants and making two pendants out of one because I’m not smart enough to do two separate ones. I’m also not so good on a step ladder. I might be one of those ones that medics are advising to give DIY a miss. I’ll see you tomorrow. Hopefully.
  17. Nice work young CH. Your young fella is a lucky boy.
  18. It’s not a pleasant way to go though and we have no idea yet as to then long term damage done to the deep alveoli in the lungs. I’ve been wired up for fifteen minutes a day with a nebuliser filled with colloidal silver. I’ve read everything that tells me I’m wasting my time but with that and my Wim Hoff breathing (and throwing myself in the river once a day) I feel as though my lungs are as clear as they’ve ever been. Placebo or no, I’m carrying on. Frankly, I’ve got fuck all else to do anyway.
  19. I thought Trump and his supporters had gone just about as low as was possible and yet yesterday, Jerry Saltz, who I follow on IG, posted a picture of Trump’s southern supporters with banners stating ‘Sacrifice the Weak’. They want their state open and they want the weak to die to make it safer for them to do so. Incidentally, these same supporters were protesting about women having abortions at the end of last year Sometimes watching what goes on across the pond is like watching an episode of Black Mirror.
  20. That was magnificent. Thank you.
  21. Spurious information removed. .
  22. I’ve gone back but only for that time you’ve stated. 7.30 till the 8 news and weather and then it’s off again. I’m actually listening to BBC radio Scotland for some bizarre reason. I like it. It’s like radio 4 without the tories.
  23. I was so sad to hear of Anglin’s passing this week. Every one of those boys did so much for the local music scene but it’s Anglin who I have the fondest memories of. RIP mate and love to Jenny.
