Strange that in none of the police press releases as they always do insist that the public do not speculate!!! Their press releases always leaves the public speculating 🤔

A man who six months ago was more than happy to become a Minister in this administration. A general election will not bring about reform of our system where the the leader is not elected by the voter nor does it implement a system where we can vote on policy not on individual wish lists .

Information is not something the Manx Government like to share unless of course it defends the myth of a well regulated jurisdiction

I have been enjoying TT plus coverage of the TT over the last few days which has been a magnificent advert for the TT as well as the Isle of Man given the glorious weather. Sadly like other night’s watching the coverage is the Internet 🛜 Wi-Fi is so unreliable cannot elieve this essential infrastructure is still so unreliable

The controversial subject of sex education to children is that parents are completely bypassed when in comes to discussing content. Given that sex education has drawn huge interest on content and delivery especially in the USA who tend to lead on these issues no surprise then that it has arrived on our doorstep. The question of consultation should be addressed by those doing the enquiry had parents been allowed a view it may well have avoided.

Castletown Town Commissioners 30m · On a temporary basis the Town Hall will be closed between 13.00 and 14.00 daily. This decision has been made following a sustained period of antisocial behaviour by a small number of Secondary School pupils which is now committing significant time from both Commissioners employees and input from the Constabulary. The requirement to commit staff time in supervising the building is now affecting wider service provision. Unfortunately this will also affect access to the Library. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause and hope to return to normal in the near future.

It’s just a terrifying prospect of our government being involved in any capital project in the wake of the recent Steam Packet fiascos with the terminal and new boat the promenade development. Could well be exactly that but wouldn’t you expect given the amount that they would be able to explain it. Or could it be those in management don’t care because they are never challenged nor are they taken to task by our MHKs

Over 500 no shows for appointments for Nobles hospital in January no management information on why these patients did not arrive! Would you not think that no shows would be monitored as a matter of good management practice?

Serious questions in the house regarding this appalling state of affairs which is not only about health but education planning is a farce. Huge sums of money spent on the Mount Murray inquiry with lessons to learned so what happened?

I am sure Educationists from across the UK will be looking at our system to see how two Head Teachers are worthy of high honour there again!

The evidence outlined by the back benchers was of unspecified unacceptable behaviour by Callister in his position as Minister which they eventually had to report to the Chief Minister. In turn the Chief Minister sought further information before acting decisively by removing the Minister At least two back benchers and an MLC would appear to support Mr Cannan’s actions who in turn tried to persevere Callister’s dignity by requesting his resignation. Mr Cannan by calling a back bencher a whiner did him no credit other than that I believe the Chief Minister acted in good faith when dealing with such a complex character as Rob Callister

At least in the New World of Manx Politics the Council of Ministers appear to have forsaken their previous stance of closing ranks and preserving the status quo by retaining Ministers who in all other walks of life would have been sacked. Just Saying!

It would appear this advice is now being taken on by Mr Callister as he is now NOT coming on Manx Radio on Monday .

It is unfortunate we seem to have to give our senior MHKs a role as Minister without making reference to their skills and abilities only to their seniority. Mr Callister has no track record of achievements in his time in Tynwald he does look after his constituents which he does well given the high number of votes which returned him at the last election. I was always suspicious of his ability to work with others or take in views which contradicts his own opinions. His inability to succeed in completing the task of ensuring we have a scoreboard for the TT is anything to go by then no one should be surprised other than his support in the Onchan constituency .
