  1. I’m not a Manx crab Frank. I’m just wondering where we can buy this local Malaysian or African produce when the market isn’t on. It seems it’s quite a unique proposition. Are they Colby mangos?
  2. It looks like the public has spoken. Nobody likes Douglas beach.
  3. The messaging does seem to be very confused for the event. Come and experience all the local African, Indian and Malaysian produce on display.
  4. It looks like from a straw poll of interviews for todays Douglas Beach Party feature IOM Newspapers clearly establishes that it’s possibly peoples least favorite beach in the IOM scoring as least favorite with almost everyone they interviewed about IOM beaches. https://www.iomtoday.co.im/news/whats-your-favourite-beach-624274 …. “When asked if they had a least favourite beach, Mrs Clague said: ‘Douglas – it’s a mess. I don’t know why it smells so terrible but it does. I can remember when I came here in the 1980s and it was actually a really nice beach back then so I’m not sure what’s happened to it for it to change so much.” …. “When asked about his least favourite beach Mr Cooil said: ‘Who the heck would go to Douglas beach, honestly it’s wreaking, nobody’s there and it’s full of stones.” …. “My least favourite beach is Douglas. It’s just stones and it’s really awful, there’s not much to it at all. Of course you’re close to everywhere you need but who gladly sits on Douglas beach” So it looks like many of the comments above are echoed by the people interviewed here. Seems like most people think that it’s not that great a place to have a party on!
  5. This forum is strange really as you say as the more it seems to try to show it has no bias the more that bias becomes totally clear with all the bullying and snide remarks posted. I’d be betting there is more than one person linked to DBC liked to managing this site the more any poster that seems to say anything even vaguely critical of DBC gets ridiculed or picked on. It’s actually very interesting to watch how people are gradually compelled to show their cards.
  6. The site is a disgrace. I posted up pictures the other week. Almost anything would be better than what is there now which is a complete mess. Who is going to buy those dilapidated units advertised for sale by Cowley Groves when the bigger developments next door have been sat for years in no man’s land due to planning? The whole thing says that the IOM simply isn’t open to business.
  7. On performance so far that seems to be completely correct. It’s concerning that almost every other department has been allowed to empire build. Except this troublesome department and it’s troublesome head who have helped people bring other government departments to account.
  8. Yet other survivors feel happy to go to the Daily Mail about how their anger will never cease. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12248897/Woman-describes-horror-surviving-inferno-futuristic-leisure-park-1973-killed-50.html
  9. This forum is brilliant. Looking at many of the other threads if there was a rumour of a similar allegation of corruption against any government department then there would be threads rife with speculation. Yet here there’s a rumour about DBC published by an actual identifiable person on Twitter but it’s just constant posts about move on this all makes sense, I can’t see what the issue is, I’m sure it all be fine in the end what’s your problem? And who moderators this forum. A Douglas Councillor! Spectacular stuff!
  10. Agreed as per Roger Mexicos considered post above. It’s the role of the police to investigate and to collate evidence and build a case (or not) not to wait to be presented with slam dunk evidence that a crime has de facto taken place. If someone has posted allegations and texts (or what claim to be texts) online they should be easily verifiable as either genuine or fakes. They’re obliged to take such claims seriously as I believe in this case they came from a known person who was easily identifiable not from some fake account. If the claims have been investigated it must be six months or so now so you’d presume there would be some sort of outcome either way.
  11. Seems like Groundhog Day Frank. It must be awkward having these people looking at how gaming companies hold peoples data. For the rest of the finance sector having this regulator in place is a main requirement of having a credible location in which to base client data. Odd my last comment in a similar vein Frank was totally deleted by someone.
  12. It’s carefully worded as he is stepping down presumably deliberately ambiguous. The timing is really interesting though after the announcement of the other week. Despite actively seeking additional funding for an extra member of staff, the existing budget was reduced in the latest budget round. This has had a devastating effect on the office staff and was the direct cause of the commissioner stepping down.
  13. Right after claiming a Cabinet Office scalp. https://www.iomtoday.co.im/news/insufficient-resources-causes-information-commissioner-to-step-down-623426
  14. Your peculiar bitterness appears to get in the way of any serious contribution you might make. I only re posted a question that hadn’t been answered. I made no claim to its accuracy or anything else. Just merely pointed out that it hadn’t been answered in amongst all the distracting arguing.
