  1. I'd like all the *whispers* retarded *normal voice* babies aborted too, but for some reason I'm the monster, not the person bringing the monster into the world.
  2. This surprises me, I was thoroughly expecting it to be brigaded by church groups to skew the survey, but in fact it's showing the result we all wanted, which is a bonus. Those religious nutters are trying to brand the survey wrong now by saying the only people who entered the survey were those that wanted reform.
  3. Oh come on, Weinstein pissed someone powerful off, that's why he's getting slated. No one really cares or feels sorry for little miss rich celebrity.
  4. They're gonna be asking shareholders for more money again soon methinks. They're focusing on the wrong markets
  5. It's in the EU's best interests to stall Brexit as long as possible and see the political sands change. It's in our interests to shit or get off the pot.
  6. Just the thought of a pub without wifi makes me die inside.
  7. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/10/13/girl-17-suffers-three-separate-sex-attacks-way-home-night/ Europe is finished due to shit like this, not brexit or scotref. It's too late to stop them. Maybe Richard has the right idea in getting in with them early.
  8. Eh? Where did that come from? The US is still leading the world in space stuff (granted, thanks to SpaceX rather than Nasa). It was during George W Bush's term that they went back into Unesco. It was during Barack Obama's administration that the US stopped paying for Unesco. Absolutely nothing to do with Trump, absolutely everything to do with politics and supporting Israel.
  9. Not the first time it's happened, they withdrew in 1984 too and only rejoined in 2002. http://www.nytimes.com/1983/12/30/world/us-is-quitting-unesco-affirms-backing-for-un.html PS, I LOVE the nytimes archive. It goes back before the internet
  10. You're not wrong Woolley. People think Drink Driving kills/injures more than it does too - before looking at the below, just think of how many you think it kills per year. I thought 10,000. Then check out the real figures. https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/543627/rrcgb-drink-drive-final.pdf All that talk of the police catching people driving the morning after with alcohol still in their system - it's bollocks, the stats show that drink drive crashes are least likely in this period. It's just getting low hanging fruit that is no danger to anyone else. I'd hate to think of how it's affected Scotland with the lower limit for morning after driving. Many of the reductions in deaths are just down to cars being more survivable now too, though the legislation has had an impact, though not as big as you'd expect. People then say "Ah, driverless cars will fix all this" but I can almost guarantee that even if driverless cars get brought in you'll still not be able to get into your driverless car and go home because otherwise you're not able to take over in the event of an emergency - and we can't have the police out of jobs.
  11. The Grosvenor has shut a few times over the past few years, the Ginger and Sulby are badly in need of refurb, whilst the Mitre in KM seems to be doing good. Glen Mona is open again but it's so far out of the way it's got to be a struggle.
  12. Ah, I'd never been in, and I guess I never will do now.
  13. What the heck are the Conservatives doing? Trying to oust May... oh dear, it's their 5 years to lose.
  14. Well, just extremists in general. When someone thinks they're so right that they will force it on others.
  15. Macron is trying but the hour is later than he thinks. It's too late for France, day after day they're having muslim attacks, only the other day two young women stabbed to death in Marseille by the menace, French civilians killed in a war they don't even have the power to fight themselves.
  16. I was waiting for someone to mention this. It does show you're a dumb dumb
  17. They haven't started the wall Woody. They've started prototypes of a border wall. His latest comments from Friday are: "They take drugs, literally, and they throw it - 100lbs of drugs - they throw it over the wall," he said at a rally in Alabama. "They have catapults. They throw it over the wall and it lands, and it hits somebody on the head and you don't even know they are there. "Believe it or not, this is the kind of stuff that happens. So you need to have a great wall but it has to be see-through." Everyone knows they are using trebuchets (which can easily launch a 90 kg projectile over 300 meters), not catapults.
  18. In the paper today they said there had been 3000 entrants to the consultation. The health care charter regarding the stink of charging for prescriptions only got 300. It's totally been utterly hijacked
  19. You can bet the church groups will have responded.
  20. It really is impressive as fuck that SpaceX technology. Just from Kerbal alone (which coined rapid unscheduled disassembly) the amount of factors in orbital mechanics is insane. Having the correct amount of ∆v available to land on a moving barge at sea is just an amazing feat.
  21. I was being flippant about it doesn't matter what people on the Isle of Man would have changed their vote too, as they didn't get to vote in the first place.
  22. BBiker: There's been quite a few people who have done a 180 on wanting to stay in who have now gone "Well, fuck the EU if they're going to be like that" too. But on the island it doesn't really matter as we don't get a damn vote I see the poor pound against the Euro and I don't see any EU crisis occurring soon that isn't already occurring (large amounts of terrorism due mass migration) so I can completely understand why no one would bet on Britain right now.
