alibaba
Surely it isn't a problem anymore, what with supermegafastunlimitedULTIMAbroadband?
manxb&b
Sorry for noobishness, but have I hotlinked here with this picture? Only I've never used this way before.... feel free to remove it if so! I thought hotlinking was direct image link to another website so that you used their bandwidth and didn't have to store the image yourself. Your link has to be clicked on and then it just takes you to an image on another post inside MF.
Declan
In this thread he's linking to an example of when he has hotlinked an image in another thread.

Declan
So that's a yes then? Yes, but I'm not really sure it matters. 1. The "rule" was more a suggestion to begin with. 2. It was intended to protect small websites with limited monthly bandwidth but you're using an image on iomtoday. Has the amount of bandwidth available to even small sites increased since this thread was created to the extent that this is no longer a concern. Declan
A question for someone more au fait with the current website hosting packages than me. Sorry I missed the question mark off. I think it's probably like many internet and IT things in recent years where speed, capacity etc have increased that the amount of bandwidth a website owner gets in his hosting package has increased over the years, but I don't know that.
